Fall Series 2

My visual recipe was consisted of needing a model, then dressing them in different outfits,  and then finding a background which was a blank wall. All my photos are in black and white to really capture the essence of John French. John French's models used props such as bags, jewelry, and cigarettes. I used bags as props as well as jewelry. My genre was fashion through portraits. The mood throughout my pictures was fun and happy which made my models more comfortable. One of my biggest goals throughout this process was to make sure the models were having fun with this as well as making sure my photos were posed which would replicate what John French did with his models.

  1. I like your Lapka photos and the photos of the sophomore with braids, my suggestion is to work more with props and/or take photos of the same people but have them wear different outfits instead of the same outfit, like you could photograph the same people but on different days.

  2. I think you did a great job of achieving your goals. All your models look they are having a good time. I agree with Anna that the photos of Lakpa and Sophie are really good. Also I agree that you should try and use more props.

  3. I love the photos and I agree with Kiki that you should use more and different props for each photo.

  4. These are all really cool. You definitely achieve your goals of happy and comfortable models; the mood of these pieces is very laid back but interesting. My only suggestion is to have a more unique variety of poses and props.

  6. These are all such great portraits! You really captured your subjects and their fashion. In the future, I recommend more variation in your photos because a lot of them seem very similar. Otherwise, they all look great!
