Symmetry, Asymmetry, Balance

Symmetry: Symmetry is when two objects are the same and can be split in half and can be replicated by mirroring itself.

Asymmetry: Asymmetry is when you have two objects that are different sizes compared to each other.

Balance: Balance is when there are two objects and they both are the same "weight" as well as take up generally the same space.

Arrangement, Decorative, Leading to subject

Leading to Subject: Leading to the subject is when a line is leading to something or someone.

Arrangement: Arrangement is when you have lines as the prominent object in the photo. If you were to take away the lines all you would have is a plain background.

Decorative: Decorative lines are when you take away the lines and you still have a prominet object.

Rule of thirds, Triangle and Diagonal

Rule of thirds: Rule of thirds is when one-third of the picture is the main focus and the rest of the image is plain.

Diagonal: Diagonal composition is when you capture an image and the focus point is on the diagonal lines showing its strength and stability.

As I was capturing photos for this assignment I found that it was a lot easier to capture images for the rule of thirds and diagonal. When it came to finding a place that follows the "triangle" rule it was a lot more challenging. Out of the three,  I think my favorite was the rule of thirds because instead of capturing a full frame of the eye catching item you would just focus on capturing a small portion of it. What I found most challenging while using the triangle rule was that not many things contained a triangle until you looked very deeply. I think it was good that we were forced to look deeper into the images to find the triangles. I really enjoyed looking for diagonals in images because some were very easy to find such as on roof lines where as others you needed to look further to find.
