Draft #2

This week I took everyone's suggestions and added colors to my images. I also worked on adding some dimension to my photos. I moved backward while holding the light and it created an illusion of a tunnel and depth. I had a lot of fun playing with the color and creating new shapes. My goal next week is to continue to expieriment with color and shapes.

Draft #1

This week I explored light painting. It was very challenging doing light painting because there were always people in the bathroom which made it challenging to find a different space where I could do light painting that was dark enough. I really enjoyed getting to make different shapes/words. Something that was also challenging was thinking of new shapes to create. Next week I will be adding color to the light and see how that changes the mood of the images. The first photo of this series is one from last week because it inspired me to choose light painting for my project.

Slo-Mo

This week we worked on Light Painting, Blurred motion, and panning. Light painting was my favorite because you got to move your light around multiple times in a dark room which ended up creating an image. Motion Blur was also interesting because you needed to move your camera really fast to get streaking of rapidly moving objects. I really enjoyed this one as well because you could do it with anything and it would always be unique. Lastly, we worked with panning which I found the most challenging. You need to focus on the background and then follow the car and make sure the background is blurred and the car is in focus which is quite challenging at first however once you get a hang of it, it becomes very fun.

Multi Frame Storytelling

This week we worked on Multi Frame Storytelling which is when you use two or more photos and I made my images into collages. Each of my photos has the black and white filter as well as a border to show a cohesive pattern throughout my post. This project was a little challenging at first because I didn't really know what direction to take it in until I started playing around with the images. One thing that worked to my advantage was the fact that it was raining because it helped make my photos look eerie.
